Race for the Cure - Denver!

I am participating in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, Denver this weekend. I'd love to have you all with me in spirit! There are a couple ways to do that:

1. Donate money.

2. Give me the name of someone who has experienced the fight against breast cancer and I will wear their name(s) during the race.

3. Send good healthy vibes to my racing team (PBS&J) and to all those who have been touched by breast cancer.

Thank you to those who have donated so far! (Robin and Sam...thanks!!!)
If you would like to donate money, you will find my fundraising page here:

The race is on Sunday. I have signs that I can pin to my shirt where I can put names of people who have won this fight against breast cancer, those who are still fighting, and those who passed away because breast cancer. If you know somebody and would like me to pin their name to my shirt for the race, please let me know!!!

Thanks for all your support! I am so grateful.

Love,
Casey

I know way too many.... but one out there, who has survived, is Connie Painter. I'm guessing that you might see others with her name, or others that know her, too.

Ok, can you put Diane O'Hara on your list? John's mom had breast cancer back in 1997. She beat it thank goodness.
Thanks Casey!

I was at an event last week to kick off Breast Cancer Awareness month. The speaker at the event (I don't remember her name) is a Survivor; her story was almost too much and I was in tears by the end. Her father had just been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and then at 35, with 3 small children at home, she was diagnosed with one of the most aggressive types of breast cancer. Two weeks later, her mother was diagnosed with the same. They were the first Father/Mother/Daughter team going through treatment at MD Anderson Orlando. Sadly, Dad passed away but mother and daughter are both 5 years cancer free! Wow!

Wow, what a story Andrea! There are going to be lots of people doing this race...I am amazed by the awareness and support.

I will pin those names to my shirt tomorrow. The names I have at this point are:

1. My Aunt Muriel
2. Connie (Robin's friend)
3. Dianne (Adrienne's mother in law)
4. Grace (friend's grandma)

Thank you guys for donating money! I appreciate it very much. XO
