OK, I got my regular flu shot yesterday. For those of you considering it, it would be better to go in sooner than later. The nurse told me that when they find out who will be getting the H1N1 shot, it may be necessary to to wait 2 to 4 weeks after getting the regular, seasonal flu shot. Then, remember that it takes a couple weeks to get the full affect of the shots, and the flu has already risen it's ugly head, at least here in the Cleveland area.

I have gone the flu shot route for many years. It seems to work for me.
H1N1.... guess that I would get that too, if they have enough. But it seems that for sure, young adults and pregnant women should investigate it. There are outbreaks all over the southern 48, they are pitching a tent at the city hospital here for suspected cases.... it's for real. An article in the current Newsweek was written by a woman who was in her 6th day of it, and was till nauseous. UGH!
Back in 1976 we had a swine flu scare. We all lined up at the local middle school, for our free shots, in November, I think...I was on my way to a Browns game (that I remember, geez). I was pregnant with Casey. I wonder if we have any residual goodies from that. They gave it to all of us with one of those gun things... weird.
I am a big time hand washer, so I guess I will just keep up that part of my routine. Maybe a little less nail biting, hand shaking and kissing.... That seems harsh. And for sure, I won't go out if I feel sick. That's just not fair to anyone.
