- is there a shortcut to wealth and success?
- where are the quick fixes?
- 8 legitimate strategies to prosperity
- conclusion
Wealth is not necessary synonymous with success, though nowadays we use them as if they mean the same thing (which they don't).
Wealth naturally deals with existing abundance of something, such as economic assets, riches, and valuable material possessions.
Success, on the other hand, concerns itself with EXPECTED POSITIVE RESULTS of a planned movement or effort: such as the achievement of one's aims, objectives, targets, or goals - whether in business, socially, academically, professionally, in humanitarian service, in any area of focus and endeavor, etc.
For some people, the journey to wealth or success can be quite a hoot and a holler, having been shortened dramatically for them by fortunate circumstances of birth.
They were lucky to have been naturally inserted into wealth or influence or royalty, with there futures already planned for them right from the cradle.
They don't have to struggle to survive, or for material comfort, or for employment.
They could enjoy elitist or best education and eventually mouth-watering inheritances await them.
These are the ones born with the proverbial golden spoons in their mouths, beneficiaries of hereditary shortcuts and connections getting the best and juicy positions in life, with the exclusive quick fixes integrated into them through privileged umbilical cord.
Do they even exist?
Can an average Joe or guy with a poor background, find a way or quick fixes to shorten his path to success, as in a hoot and a holler?
Well, unless you intend to use illegal means to prosper, unless you are negatively-inclined to use questionable measures to get to the top of the ladder, I make bold to say that even if they exist, Quick Fixes and shortcuts are unreliable, dangerous, and deceptive.
They can never create enduring legacies; rather, empirical evidence shows that they usually and always end up as mere semblances of what they are not, can't produce sustainable results, and eventually cause setbacks in the long run.
Diligence (hard work) is the primary key to the top.
It remains the only natural, undeniable, and indispensable tool to truly actualize our positive dreams, purposes and goals in life. Nothing good comes without diligence. It is the fuel that drives real and enduring development.
Here are the indispensable components of diligence: time-tested, reliable and legitimate strategies and techniques which can collectively enable you to achieve your goals certainly and unfailingly:
1. Purpose And Goals
2. Planning
3. Deadlines
4. Positive Attitude
5. Commitment
6. Timing
7. Discipline And Consistence
1. DEFINE YOUR PURPOSE AND GOALS.
Everything in life starts with existence of a purpose and goals. Without them you are like a blind person having no sense of direction and clueless about what to do.
They give you reason to exist and direction for growth.
They give you what to focus on,
and believe me, we all need to be clear on what we want to achieve if we are to amount to anything tangible in life.
2. PLANNING
Planning is important and key to making progress; it is a guide and roadmap which enables us to achieve our purposes and goals.
So you must have a plan.
Failing to plan, it is often said, is planning to fail.
Without a plan there can be no profitable progress.
It is plans which activate our focus, motivates us, and helps us to measure our progress towards the target.
3. DEADLINES
When you set deadlines within which you have to achieve or reach a particular target, you are positively challenging and training yourself to beat future deadlines whenever they crop up - and they will, trust me, because delivery deadlines are global best practices in business transactions.
Establishing deadlines for yourself can be very helpful: it not only keeps you on track and on target, it also gives you a proper sense of being organized and in control.
4. POSITIVE ATTITUDE
Another key to success is the ability to equip yourself with a positive mindset, attitude, and outlook.
Go-getters are always optimistic and self-trusting, therefore you need to be optimistic and trust in your own ability to deliver.
Be optimistic.
Let your attitude and outlook on life be positive. It's a great self-motivational tool: just when you need a helping hand, it will push you through in times of difficulties and obstacles.
Also, surround yourself with positive people and mentors to assist in keeping you focused and inspired.
5. COMMITMENT TO YOUR CAUSE
A key go-getter's handy and effective tool is commitment. To be successful you have to demonstrate undivided seriousness, loyalty and commitment towards achieving your defined purpose and goals. Never allow no distractions or anything whatsoever to alter your forward-marching onward-soldier concentration on the target.
6. TIMING
Remember that evergreen song, "What's Love Got To Do With It?"
I can hear you asking:
"What's time got to do with it?"
A whole lot!
Though it's said that opportunity comes but once, we all know for real that sometimes after you've lost an opportunity, you might be fortunate to have another or even better one in the future - depending on unforseen variables or factors.
But Time never repeats itself.
Once its lost its gone forever and can never be regained.
So you have to manage your time carefully, as go-getters who know iD importance Doo: they recognize it as crucial to achieving success.
As a rule and not as an exception, you must be aware of how you spend your time, and use it wisely.
Allocate quality time each day to focus on your goals and to prioritize them.
This will enhance your ability to stay organized and help to maximize your efforts.
7. DISCIPLINE AND CONSISTENCE
Self discipline and consistence are also essential factors and game changes for achieving breakthrough in our journeys up the ladder.
Without any iota of doubt, discipline is key in everything we do.
While consistence removes contradictions, discipline eliminates distractions and strengthens us for the task ahead.
Both are complimentary instruments for self motivation and they gear us to give our best at all times.
8. A TIME TO RECHARGE
Yes, hard work is important, but it should not translate to prison service.
Dont forget: obsessive work ethics caused Jack to lose his steam and drive: he forgot that he was made of flesh and blood and needed periodic rest.
Doesn't even robots rest during their maintenance periods?
Students enjoy their siestas and holidays.
Public Servant get their Leaves of Absence from work.
What makes you the exception?
You too deserve your time out.
It shouln't be work work all the time, otberwise fatigue sets in, causing you to break down.
And when yiu do, what then happens to productivity?
So we agree, you too deserve resting time.
You require time to recharge and regain lost energy.
Thats how to work magic on your stamina and enrich your natural drive to succeed.
In conclusion, it is unprofitable searching for quick routes to wealth or success: it might lead one to succumb to the temptation of taking negtive measures.
As we have examined in preceding paragraphs, diligence and other time-honored steps correctly form the only sure and legitimate ladder to the prize at the top which you and I are targeting.
